The Alliance Française de Glasgow in a few words...
Established in 1982, the Alliance Française de Glasgow is one of the thirteen AF teaching in the United Kingdom. Run by a Board of Directors, it is located in Park Circus, under the same roof as the Goethe-Institute since 2004.
As a local not-for-profit organisation, it reflects the desire to share with others the love of the language, culture and other various aspects of the French way of life.
We offer courses for adults and children of all levels and all ages. All of our teachers are native French speakers and have a degree in French as a foreign language.
We are also an official examination centre for personal or professional French exams such as the Test d’Evaluation du Français (TEF) or the Diplôme d’études en Langue Française (DELF).
Teaching activities are complemented by a wide range of cultural and social events such as the cafés, the French Film Festival, exhibitions etc.
Our multimedia library also offers a wide selection of items in French (DVDs, books, CDs) and is open to all for a small annual fee.
French is a not only spoken around the world on all five continents, it is also the official language of international organizations such as the European Union, NATO, the United Nations and its agencies etc.
The Alliance Française opens the door to many cultural exchanges as well as a little aperçu of what the French-speaking countries have to offer....
