Examinations

=> Want to improve your CV or just get formal proof of your level in French? Check out what the Alliance Française has to offer!

The Alliance Française is an official examination centre that gives you the opportunity to obtain the official French diplomas awarded by French authorities and recognised internationally.

=> What Diplomas can I take at the Alliance Française de Glasgow?

  • the DELF, Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française (Units A1, A2, B1, B2)
  • the DALF, Diplôme Approfondi en Langue Française, (C1, C2).
  • the TEF, Test d’Évaluation du Français from the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry
  • the TEFAQ, recognised by the Canadian immigration authorities.
  • the DFP, Diplôme de Français Professionnel and
  • the TCF, Test de Connaissance du Français .

Please contact the Language Office to find out if we are offering the tests that meet your personal or professional needs.

=> Who can take these tests?

Anyone who is not of French nationality and who wishes to validate their French language skills may sit the examination.

=> Why would you be interested?

If not simply for your own personal benefit, the diplomas can be an asset to your CV as they are internationally recognized for both professional applications and university studies.

For instance, holders of the DELF B2 or DALF diplomas are exempted from language entrance in French Universities. Usually, the DALF C1 is the required gateway to the most prestigious schools and higher education centres for admission of foreign students.

If you wish to emigrate to Quebec, the TEFAQ is also highly recommended.

=> When can you take the tests?

For each test, different sessions are organized throughout the year at the Alliance Française, as well as preparation classes.

Please contact the Language Office to find out more about our upcoming sessions: 0141-331 4080 / admin@afglasgow.org.uk
