The eTEF  exams are electronic tests developed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris (CCIP) and recognised by the French Ministry of Education.

There is no pass or fail mark. Rather, each version of the test establishes your level in French.
A certificate with your results for each section is issued following the exam and is valid for one year (eTEFaQ/eTEF Canada/eTEF Naturalisation) or two years (eTEF).

The principal applicant’s partner cannot obtain points for their reading and writing skills, as such the eTEFaQ is then the most appropriate version of the test for them.
