Exhibition of Blanche Sabbah's Comic Books

Join us for a captivating comic exhibition featuring the brilliant works of Blanche Sabbah, a feminist activist with degrees in art history and sociology.
In partnership with renowned publishing houses Dargaud, Casterman, Mâtin, and Anabelle and Benoît from La Belle Aventure Bookshop, this
event promises to be a celebration of art, feminism, and thought-provoking storytelling.

There are three books featured :

You will explore Blanche's feminist perspective on women-centric myths from past and present. Each chapter features a comic depiction
summarising the story, followed by Blanche's insightful analysis challenging traditional narratives.
Histoire de France au féminin
This book challenges the perception of women as mere bystanders in history. Blanche emphasises the significant roles played by women, known
and unknown, from Joan of Arc to Olympe de Gouges and Simone Veil. Experience an enriched historical narrative aiming to rectify the
male-dominated account.

Don’t miss the exhibition launch and the conference on “Les femmes dans la BD: Silence, Sex et Soumission” on Tuesday, 12th March, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
