To celebrate the 200th anniversary of Gustave Flaubert's birth, we are delighted to invite you to a special online screening via Zoom, of Le Figaro Hors-Série's documentary :

“La Fureur d'écrire" (Duration: 1h34 min, in French with English subtitles)

The documentary is divided into the following parts: 

-A short film presenting the Musée Flaubert in Rouen – Birthplace of Gustave Flaubert and museum of medicine.

-An interview with Yvan Leclerc, specialist in Gustave Flaubert and director of the ‘Centre Flaubert’.

-Contemporary psychological analysis of Gustave Flaubert’s main characters by a literature professor.

-Readings of excerpts selected from Flaubert’s novels by a group of theatre actors from ‘le Lavoire parisien’.

-Musical interludes of some Flaubert’s favourite musical pieces interpreted by a pianist.
