The ‘rentrée’ in the autumn is a time both for new departures and for letting go: focusing, launching new projects, and setting intentions for the months ahead, whilst letting go of what is no longer helpful or appropriate. It can be a time of anticipation but also anxiety, a time to refocus on activities that we feel are important for our mental and physical well-being, and start to let go of the warmth and light of the summer, accepting that we are moving into a darker, colder part of the year that has its own special qualities. Slow, warming, grounding, centring, nourishing practices accompany us during this season, encouraging us to look inwards but also forwards, with confidence rather than anxiety, and helping us to let go of what is past without regret.
If this approach appeals to you, you are warmly invited to join these practice sessions, where all levels of French and Yoga experience are welcome. Comfortable clothing, a mat and openness to the experience are all that is needed.
The classes are led by Joy, a qualified Yoga teacher since 2011. She has been teaching a range of classes and one-to-one sessions focused on body and breath awareness since then.
