Cabaret Evening with Christine Bovill

Join members of the Franco-Scottish Society Glasgow Branch for an unforgettable evening of French cabaret chanson, featuring the timeless music of Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Charles Aznavour and more.
The evening’s performer is well-know singer and songwriter Christine Bovill, renowned for her powerful interpretations and celebrated performances across the UK and beyond.
Guests will also enjoy light refreshments, including wine, soft drinks and nibbles.
This event opens the Franco-Scottish Society's 130th year with a memorable chance to enjoy an evening of French culture.
About the performer
Christine Bovill has built a formidable reputation as an interpreter of Chanson Française and as a songwriter. Her show Piaf has
toured throughout the world, winning accolades. New shows have followed - Paris, Speakeasy and, most recently, PIAF to POP, which sold
out two consecutive years at the Edinburgh Fringe. Christine has been heard on radio and television and her compositions have appeared in
film and TV scores. Last year she played Kiki De Montparnasse, in a musical play written for her by the award-winning writer-composer team
of Clive King and Hilary Brooks.
