Festival director Richard Mowe introduces (in English) the 33rd edition of the French Film Festival UK which is coming soon to the Alliance
Française Glasgow and the Glasgow Film Theatre from October to December. He will highlight award-winners from the Cannes Film Festival,
a celebration of the work of Marcel Pagnol on the 150th anniversary of his birth; a tribute to the late Bertrand Blier; a focus on Québec
cinema and films about such icons as Sarah Bernhardt, Charles Aznavour, Céline Dion, Simone Signoret and Yves Montand.
Catch clips of François Ozon’s adaptation of Camus’ L’Étranger; Yann Gozlan’s AI thriller Dalloway; Frank Dubosc’s dark comedy Un ours
dans le Jura; and a silent treat Fantômas from 1913 in celebration of the 120th anniversary of the legendary Gaumont Studios

Richard Mowe is an arts and features journalist working across Edinburgh, London, and Paris. His contributions span newspapers, radio, web
media, and television, with a focus on cultural affairs, entertainment, and cinema. He is the founder and director of the French Film
Festival UK and co-director of the Italian Film Festival. Richard Mowe has been honored as an Officier in the French Order of Arts and
Letters.
