La Nuit des Idées : Student debate in French and Documentary

The Alliance Française de Glasgow is pleased to announce its participation in La Nuit des idées by hosting a debate between two teams of
students from the University of Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde.
The debate will be followed by a screening of the ''La lutte est une fin”.
At the end of the screening, a jury will select the winning team on the basis of language level, arguments and public speaking skills.
About “La lutte est une fin” by Arthur Thomas-Pavlowsky (27 minutes) :
One summer day in Marseille. The boxers of the "Boxe Massilia" collective are about to enter the ring in front of a cheering
crowd. Behind this ancient spectacle of hand-to-hand combat, another fight, more decisive and fundamental, seems to be played out.
