Diplôme d'Etudes de Langue Française Prim
The certificate of French proficiency for primary school aged children awarded by the
French Ministry of Education for proficiency in French as a Foreign Language.
The DELF Prim is the diploma for primary school students learning French as a second language and bilingual children. It has the same basic structure as the standard DELF, but the materials take into account the interests and daily lives of children rather than adults.
It can only be taken by children between 7 - 11 years old. The diploma awarded is identical to the standard DELF diploma.
There are three types of diplomas available for the DELF Prim: A1.1, A1 and A2.
The DELF Prim exam typically only takes place once a year in May.
