Join us for a vibrant, family-friendly celebration of Francophonie 2026 featuring the acclaimed French singer-songwriter Benjamin Piat. Known for his poetic lyrics, warm stage presence, and irresistible melodies, Benjamin Piat brings a joyful blend of French chanson and contemporary pop that delights audiences of all ages. An uplifting musical journey not to be missed.

Benjamin Piat was born on April 24, 1985, in Angers and grew up listening to the songs of Lavilliers, Salvador, and Trenet. As a teenager,
he learned to play the guitar with his older brother for about ten years and began composing his first songs at an early age.
His love of Prévert’s poetry and his meeting with Andrée Chedid quickly led him to want to bring his own texts to life on stage, singing in front of audiences.
After nearly 300 concerts in small venues across France, Benjamin Piat decided to release his first album in 2013, which earned him several distinctions. “Boîte à Musique” won the SACEM Prize and the Chant’Appart Audience Award that same year.
Many tour dates followed, performing as a pop-folk trio, including notable opening acts for Tryo, Tété, Anis, Batlik, and Oldelaf.
At the end of 2017, Benjamin Piat met Seb Martel (guitarist for "M" and Camille), with whom he recorded his second album, “L’échappée Belle,” nominated for the Prix Moustaki and the Pic d’Or. The show then toured across Europe (Slovakia, Germany, Italy, England, Croatia, Bosnia) and later around the world thanks to the support of the Alliances Françaises and the French Institutes. Benjamin Piat thus became a Francophonie ambassador in Laos.
Following the encounters and rich exchanges during this major tour, in 2018 he recorded “Frenchy,” composed with the group Tryo. This new album was noticed by radio, the press, and professionals in the entertainment industry (France Bleu, Chérie FM, RCF, Du Son Dans Mon Salon, FrancoFans, Pias France).
While continuing to travel and perform, in 2020, Benjamin Piat returned highly inspired from a tour in Latin America and recorded a new sunny, dynamic, radiant, and optimistic album: “Eldorado”. He continued this major international tour in more than 30 countries (USA, Venezuela, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Mauritania, Togo, Guinea, South Korea, Colombia, Peru, New Zealand).
Today, Benjamin presents his fifth album. Born from a love at first sight with the Eastern world, the colorful and multicultural universe of the Middle East inspires new songs, new melodies, and new atmospheres! Still danceable and even more energizing: here is “Bivouac” at Alliance Française Glasgow!
