Meet graphic novelists Nicolas Puzenat and Julie Campbell for a Drink and Draw on the theme of nature! Together, they will reflect on their careers and artistic practices as well as sharing their perspectives on ecology and their relationship to the natural world.
Enjoy a free drink and an informal chat about their art, style and techniques as they guide you through a drawing session using 3 subjects of their choice. All levels welcome!
About the artists :
Nicolas Puzenat is a French graphic novelist. After studying literature, he taught in France, Belgium and Latin America - notably
Buenos Aires, where his first graphic novel, Espèces invasives, is set, published in 2019 by Éditions Sarbacane.
In 2021, he published MégaFauna, a critically acclaimed philosophical fable selected for the Utopiales and Angoulême festivals.The second
part of MégaFauna, Le Livre des délices et des infortunes, was published last year by Sarbacane.
Julie Campbell is a Scottish illustrator and comic creator based in Fife.
The main focus of her work is in illustration - where she enjoys creating creatures, characters and stories. This love of stories and art
naturally spills over into comics, and she creates work based on a mix of different themes, from nature to fantasy and stories for children.
