Talk : Carcassonne and the Historic Cities of Occitanie

Date: 14 Jan 2026, 6:00pm - 7:30pm GMT UK

Come and discover the historical secrets and tourist attractions of the ancient cities of Occitanie. We will, of course, start with Carcassonne, the best-known city in the region, but we will also explore other fortified and medieval towns that are less well known yet definitely worth a visit during a holiday in the south of France.

About Aude :

''Hello everyone,

I am Aude, and for almost 9 years now, I have become a 'Glaswegian' by adoption and a teacher at the Alliance Française.

My great passion in life is traveling and discovering new cultures, while of course tasting the local culinary specialties. I have been fortunate, thanks to my work, to live in many countries around the world: from Romania to Cambodia, through Lebanon and Jordan, and to meet wonderful people there. Every year, my goal is always to discover a new region of the world, and my travel wish list is endless.

Despite all of that, I am still deeply in love with my home region: sunny Occitania, and I hope to be able to share it with you a little, to make you want to visit very soon."
