French Guided Tour - Glasgow at the turn of the Twentieth Century

Date: 26 Sep 2023, 10:00am - 12:00pm GMT London, Lisbon

The Alliance Française is delighted to offer you a guided tour of Glasgow in French with Léa Masciocchi.

Glasgow at the turn of the 20th century: History, stories, style and architecture.

A walk through Glasgow city centre takes us back to the turn of the 20th century, to the "Second City of the Empire". At that time, the city was entering the modern era and was adorned with buildings in a variety of styles. We'll be following in the footsteps of great architects such as C.R. Mackintosh and James Miller. We'll also have the chance to take a closer look at the customs of Glaswegians, and in particular at some of the major events of the period.
