Sarah, final year student at the University of Strathclyde, won the Marseille competition!

She will attend a once-in-a-lifetime educational and cultural trip to Marseille in March 2019.


We’re giving you the chance to win a trip to the French Mediterranean city in 2019!

Entering this competition could enable you to become an ambassador for Glasgow and be part of a network of people coming from different cities which are all twinned with Marseille!

The lucky winner will have the opportunity to attend a once-in-a-lifetime educational and cultural trip to Marseille in March 2019, sponsored by the Mairie de Marseille, the Alliance Française de Marseille and Glasgow City Council.

The winner will receive return flights from Glasgow, accommodation and breakfast for the week, and access to public transport. He/She will also have the opportunity to attend French classes at the Alliance Française de Marseille, as well as participate in various cultural activities to discover this beautiful French city!


Theme:

This year, the theme is ‘Marseille, Terre d’accueil et paradis gourmands‘.

Participants will have to write a short story in French about ‘Marseille et les paradis gourmands‘ on a two-sided A4 page.


Rules:

  • You must be between 18 and 35 years old to participate in this competition.
  • The competition is open to students and members of the Alliance Française Glasgow who live in the Greater Glasgow area, as well as people who are currently studying French at the University of GlasgowStrathclyde University or City of Glasgow College
  • The competition is not open to French nationals
  • Your have to write your story in French
  • The winner will have to be available in March 2019 and will have to use the provided communication tools (such as Facebook) as well as deliver a summary about their trip  at the end of April
  • Closing date to submit your story to culture@afglasgow.org.uk: 31st January.
