My Donkey, My Lover & I /Antoinette dans les Cévennes (2020), directed by Caroline Vignal (FULL) Antoinette, a school teacher, is looking forward to her long-planned summer holidays with her secret lover Vladimir, the father of one of her pupils. Upon learning that Vladimir cannot come because his wife has organised a surprise trekking holiday in the Cévennes National Park with their daughter and a donkey to carry their load, Antoinette decides to follow their track on her own with Patrick, a protective donkey. Shortcuts (FULL) We're delighted that French filmmaker Julien Longchamp will be joining us in person for this event! The 2021 collection of six short films plus a bonus title includes one César nominee and winners from such festivals as Clermont-Ferrand, Angers Premiers-Plans. It covers a wide range of genres, from documentary and animation to a slice-of-life realism, with some wildly experimental film-making and a home-grown comedy thrown in for good measure.
