The French Pop Video Competition returns in 2021 !

Do you think you can sing or rap in French? Do you have the skills to make a music video for your song? If so, this competition is for you!

It’s back ! Following the success of the 2020 edition, the Institut français du Royaume-Uni, with the support of Francophonie UK, has officially launched the French Pop Video Competition 2021, a video song contest for all primary and secondary school students in the national-curriculum schools of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, and the Channel Islands.

Teachers can submit their students’ video clips in 3 age-categories before 31st March 2021. In May 2021, local juries in 9 geographical areas (including 5 in England) will announce their laureates in 3 age-categories and award book token prizes for winning regional entries. Regional winners will automatically enter the UK national final.

UK national winners will be announced in June 2021 during a Francophonie UK School Music Awards ceremony with a live music concert at the Institut français in London. Each winning national entry will get a tablet offered by TV5Monde!

To top it all, the Institut français will offer a limited number of FREE “Learning French through music" workshops to state-sector schools wishing to enter the competition.
